Self-paced online course
AI In Your Corner
The Starter Kit
You've heard AI will save you hours. You may have even tried it, got back something bland enough to be about any business in the country, and quietly closed the tab. This is the course that fixes that.
Built for business owners, farming families and not-for-profit boards — by someone who has spent fourteen years working with them.
6 modules, about 2 hours · Workbook + 50-prompt library · No coding, no jargon · Live Q&A monthly for a year

If any of this sounds familiar
Most people who find this page aren't AI sceptics. They're busy, and they've had one underwhelming go at it.
- You opened ChatGPT once, asked it something, got corporate waffle back, and haven't returned.
- Half the people in your network say it's saving them hours. None of them can tell you exactly how.
- You're not worried about whether you can learn it. You're worried about losing a day finding out it isn't for you.
- You have real questions about privacy and accuracy, and nobody seems willing to answer them straight.
- Every course you've found is written for a tech startup, not for a business in a country town.
The actual problem
It was never that the tool didn't work. It's that nobody showed you how to ask.
Type "write me a social media post" and you'll get exactly what that deserves — something generic, in a voice that isn't yours. The instruction was thin, so the answer was thin. Fix the instruction and the same tool gives you something you'd actually send.
12–15 hrs
A week lost to admin by the average Australian small business owner, according to the Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman.
~2 hrs
The course, start to finish. Set-up for everything in it takes under an hour.
$0
What you need to spend on AI tools to do this course. Everything works on the free tiers.
Who this is for
Three kinds of operator
The examples, the exercises and all fifty prompts are written for these three worlds — not adapted from something built for a marketing agency in a capital city.
Farming families
Farm businesses
Succession conversations nobody wants to open. Compliance documents nobody wants to read. Season records, agronomy reports, grant applications, and the update your lender is waiting on.
Chairs & directors
NFP boards
Board reports from dot points. Grant guidelines turned into a plain-English checklist. First-pass minutes, risk registers, acquittals, and agendas that finish on time.
Main street
Regional SMEs
The overdue invoice from someone you'll see at the pub on Friday. Quotes, position descriptions, price rise letters, and a reply to that review you've been stewing on.
The course
What's inside
Six modules, in order, each one building on the last. Watch it in an afternoon or across a couple of evenings.
00 Welcome
What you'll walk away with, and what this course deliberately isn't. Five minutes.
01 What AI Actually Is (and Isn't)
Clearing the fog. Two myths busted, four places it earns its keep, and three places to be careful — including the ones most courses skip.
02 Choosing Your Tool
ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot. A three-question decision rule, and how to set up your account safely. You'll finish this module with an account open.
03 The CORNER Method
The core of the course. Six elements that turn a vague question into an instruction, with two worked before-and-after examples and one you write yourself.
04 Your Business, Your Use Cases
A menu of twenty-three real jobs across five categories. You tick what would save you time, then circle the three you'll hand over this fortnight.
05 Your First 7 Days
Fifteen minutes a day for a week, so this becomes a habit instead of another tab you meant to go back to. Plus the three guardrails that apply from day one.
Module 3
The CORNER method
One framework, six elements. You won't use all six every time, but the more you include, the less generic the answer. It's the bit people tell me changed how they work.
C — Context
Who you are, what the situation is, and what this is actually for.
O — Outcome
What you want out the other end, and in what format.
R — Role
Who it should act as while it helps you. This changes more than anything else.
N — Notes
Constraints, tone, length, and the things to leave out.
E — Examples
A sample of the voice you want. Nothing teaches tone faster.
R — Refine
The first result is a draft. This is the step almost everyone skips.
Everything you get
Not just the videos
Included — the part people talk about
50 CORNER Prompts
An 18-page library, written out in full. Eighteen for farm businesses, sixteen for NFP boards, sixteen for regional small business. Copy one, swap in your own detail, paste it in. You won't find these written for a succession conversation or a board acquittal anywhere else.
Included
The participant workbook
Twelve pages, built to be written in. Four exercises, a CORNER worksheet, the use-case menu, and the seven-day tracker. Print it or fill it in on screen.
Included
Kept current for 12 months with Live Q&A
The tools change constantly. The method doesn't. I'm reviewing and updating this course every quarter for the next twelve months, and you get every update — so it doesn't go stale on you in six months.
Who's teaching it
Shayne Miller
I've spent fourteen years working with business owners, farming families and not-for-profit boards — mostly across regional NSW, where I've lived for more than twenty years.
My background is agricultural extension, vocational education, banking and business finance, and community board governance. I hold a Master of Business Psychology and AICD governance training. I can also start a siphon and operate a picker and a header, which is not on most AI trainers' CVs.
I built this course because I kept having the same conversation. Someone would tell me they knew they should be using AI, they'd had a go, and it hadn't stuck. Every time, the gap was the same — nobody had shown them how to ask properly, or been straight with them about what it can't do.

Is it worth it?
Do the maths yourself
I'd rather you worked this out than took my word for it. It's the same calculation I run with coaching clients.
STEP ONE — What's an hour worth?
Not your charge-out rate. What it costs the business when you're doing admin instead of the work only you can do.
STEP TWO — How many hours back?
Be conservative. Two hours a month is a fair starting estimate for one person using this properly.
STEP THREE — Multiply.
At $100 an hour and two hours a month, that's $2,400 a year. The course is a one-off $197.
If those numbers don't stack up for your business, don't buy it. I'd rather you didn't than have you pay for something you never open.
"I've saved 6 hours a week automating financial reporting. And that's just one task I've given it."
Jo
Champ Enterprises, Blaxland
"This has been a gamechanger for me. Thanks Shayne. My prompts are giving me better output now."
Sarah
Country Universities Centre, Broken Hill
"Understanding the need for context and detail has delivered greater time savings for the large amount of content I'm managing. Saving time and being more productive."
Scott

Do I need to be technical?
Which AI tool do I need, and do I have to pay for one?
I've already had a play with ChatGPT. Is this too basic for me?
Is my business information safe?
Won't this be out of date in six months?
Isn't this just prompts I could find free online?
What if it's not for me?
Everything in this course is already sitting in an account you can open for free.
It just needs someone to point at it, in a language that makes sense for a business like yours.
$197 AUD incl. GST
One payment. Six modules, the workbook, and the 50-prompt library.
